Board Director Opportunity

Ngala is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced and emerging leaders who are passionate about contributing their expertise to positively impact children, families and communities across WA. 

People & Culture

Senior executive or Board experience in People and Culture, workforce strategy, organisational capability, leadership development, succession planning and workplace governance. 

Finance, Audit & Risk

 Candidates who have deep financial and audit experience and can support the Audit and Risk Committee as and when required. 

Clinical Governance, Quality & Safeguarding

Candidates who have experience in and can support Board oversight of clinical governance, care quality, safeguarding, complaints, incidents and continuous improvement.

The Fine Print

These are voluntary Director appointments.

While the roles are unpaid, they provide an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to one of Western Australia's most respected community organisations. 


Directors are required to: 

  • Attend approximately 10 Board meetings per year in person at Ngala’s head office in Kensington;
  • Be a member of at least one Board subcommittee and attend approximately 6-10 sub-committee meetings per year committee dependent;
  • Attend at least one site visit per year other than Kensington; 
  • Participate in a 2-day strategy session once per year (usually conducted off-site);
  • Previous governance education, such as the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course, is desirable but not essential. 

Applicants are invited from across Western Australia, with Ngala’s head office located in Kensington.
